Finger Lakes Hiking Trail

The Finger Lakes Trail system, over 950 miles in length, runs from the Pennsylvania-New York border in Allegany State Park to the Long Path in the Catskill Forest Preserve, with branch trails to Niagara Falls, the Genesee River valley, the Great Eastern Trail south of Corning, the central Finger Lakes, and the Syracuse region.

This system is built and maintained almost entirely by volunteers. Covering some of the most scenic land in New York, we welcome you to hike it, and volunteer to keep it beautiful.

Mossy Bank Park & Nature Center

Mossy Bank Park (Bath, NY) is 167.5 acres in size and includes pavilions, picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, hiking trails and a scenic overlook.

The park also hosts a 5.2 acre pond which provides water for fishing, outdoor activities and fire protection.


Bath Country Club & Golf

Bath Country Club (Bath, NY) is a challenging course. The foresight of the original founders provided a place for golf, fellowship and community. 

Watkins Glen Gorge

Watkins Glen State Park (Watkins Glen, NY) is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge.

Campers and day-visitors can enjoy the Olympic-size pool, scheduled summer tours through the gorge, tent and trailer campsites, picnic facilities and excellent fishing in nearby Seneca Lake or Catherine Creek, which is renowned for its annual spring run of rainbow trout.


Stony Brook State Park

Stony Brook State Park (Dansville, NY) has terrain that comprises hilly woodlands, a deep gorge with rugged cliffs overlooking three waterfalls and fascinating rock formations.

Visitors can hike rim, gorge or nature trails, play tennis on park courts, or picnic. Some winter hiking is allowed, but not on the gorge or rim trails.


Pinnacle State Park and Golf Course

Pinnacle State Park (Addison, NY) has breathtaking views and tremendous vistas, including the Canisteo River Valley, Harris Hill and the village of Addison. The park is known for its challenging 9-hole golf course, but visitors can enjoy many other recreational activities, including hiking or cross-country skiing on 11 miles of trails. Anglers can fish for bass, bluegill or bullheads in Levi Pond. Hunters can go after deer, turkey or small game in season and picnickers can relax and enjoy the scenery. 


Keuka Lake State Park

Keuka Lake State Park (Bluff Point, NY), located in the heart of wine country, has a gentle charm, offering views of vineyard-covered slopes, glimmering water and clear blue sky. The park's camping areas have 150 tent and trailer sites. A swimming beach, picnic shelter, boat launch ramp, docking space and hiking trails open several recreational avenues to visitors.

Glenn H. Curtiss Aviation Museum

​​The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum (Hammondsport, NY) is dedicated to the memory of pioneer aviator, Glenn Curtiss. The museum contains a priceless collection relating to early aviation and local history. The museum also features a 75-seat theater, large open area for special events and a gift shop. In addition to seeing the museum displays and exhibits, visitors are welcome to visit the Restoration Shop, talk with volunteer craftsman and watch them work on historic aircraft.


Corning Museum of Glass

You can explore every facet of glass at The Corning Museum of Glass (Corning, NY). See more than 35 centuries of glass artistry in the galleries, explore glass innovations in our hands-on science and technology area, and watch live glass demos — all day, every day of the week. You can even Make Your Own Glass! And, the best news of all? Free admission for kids and teens, 17 and under! 


Finger Lakes Boating Museum

The Finger Lakes Boating Museum (Hammondsport, NY) exists for the education and preservation of the rich history of boating activities and boat building in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. 


Women's Rights National Historic Park

Women’s Rights National Historical Park (Seneca Falls, NY) tells the story of the first Women’s Rights Convention held on July 19-20,1848.  It is a story of struggles for civil rights, human rights, and equality, global struggles that continue today.  The efforts of women’s rights leaders, abolitionists, and other 19th century reformers remind us that all people must be accepted as equals.


Harriet Tubman House

The Harriet Tubman House (Auburn, NY) celebrates the life of the former slave who is known for her Underground Railroad activities, personally leading over 300 people to freedom.


Rockwell Museum

The Rockwell Museum (Corning, NY) is home to an incredible collection of art. Diverse, complex, and engaging, this collection serves as our primary source of inspiration for everything we do in the community, in local schools, and with visitors from around the world.

Finger Lakes Wine Trails

​​Finger Lakes Wine Country is home to three distinct wine trails, each offering exciting wine and food pairing events throughout the year. The events range in theme from chocolate, cheese, herb, barbeque, harvest and holiday. All are fun, unique and affordable.  Some events offer souvenir glasses, herb plants and holiday ornaments. Best of all? When you purchase a wine trail event ticket, unless otherwise specified, it is for use the entire event weekend. Additionally, all three wine trails individually offer passport programs for tasting discounts and such.


The Windmill Farm and Craft Market

The Windmill (Penn Yan, NY) is the first and friendliest farm and craft market in upstate New York, located right in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Region. The Windmill has become a premier tourist attraction, with a weekly attendance exceeding 8,000 - 10,000 people.

Beginning with roughly 100 vendors, The Windmill serves as an outlet for local producers and craftsmen. Now in its 27th year, The Windmill plays host to nearly 200 shops, you're sure to find something for everyone. 


Watkins Glen International NASCAR Racing

​​The quantity and caliber of legendary drivers who have taken to the streets of Watkins Glen and the turns of Watkins Glen International is nearly second to none.

Stars from all forms of racing -- open-wheel, sports car and stock car -- have come to The Glen to put their talent to the test. There are a few select individuals who have left an indelible mark on The Glen's history whether from behind the wheel of a car or behind a desk.


Clemens Center

Located in the central Southern Tier of New York State, the Clemens Center (Corning, NY) is the region's premier performing arts center with two spectacular performance spaces. Mandeville Hall is a flexible, "black box" venue suitable for intimate performances. The majestic Powers Theater is an architectural treasure that has been newly restored to its vaudevillian-era grandeur. 

Magnificent murals, gold-leaf details and reconstructed opera boxes now adorn the theater just as they did when it opened in 1925. The 1,618-seat Powers Theater has been called the most beautiful theater between New York City and Buffalo - it is truly awe-inspiring! 


Steuben County Fair

A wonderful example of time gone by, the Steuben County Fair (Bath, NY) has a grand history of agricultural life from our region.

The Steuben County Fair is the oldest continually running fair in the United States. Originated in 1819 there were 9 categories for judging with prizes given to exhibitors of cattle, sheep and produce.  Horse racing was also an attraction.
